Red Granites Man of Mystery

Huacaya Herdsire (Male) Medium Fawn, Light Silver Grey

AOA# 35123057 DOB: 8/9/20169 yrs
First, you have to thank Red Granite for delivering such an outstanding male. Second, you have to thank Kitt Hollister for selling you her herd, including this outstanding male, and if I could reduce the lack of hesitation in making that purchase, I could in fact reduce it to this one male. From Kitt: "The best way to introduce this male is using the facts. First: YES, he is a true Harlequin. His great grandsire, Black Epic, is one of the most prolific Harlequin Appaloosa producers out there. ...

Dam: Dancing Elk's Nina

Beautiful Fiber & Coverage

Dancing Elk's Nina

Huacaya Open (Female) Light Fawn

AOA# 35380702 DOB: 6/20/20205 yrs
Nina's 2024 breeding is to match her with Howling Hills Conspicuous "Spike". On 6/20/20, we were surprised by a white cria. There were two faint-and, oh so small- fawn spots. One on her forehead and one on a lower leg. She was statuesque like a ballerina. Fast forward to two years old and Nina's fiber is lovely. Dense bundling, tight crimp, brightness and coverage galore. What to do about a breeding...with some spots in her lineage? Time to change lanes. Bred to Red Granites Man of Myst ...

Blizzard is a powerful herdsire with the qualities breeders expect from a top white male. His show record speaks for itself: Judge's Choice, Best Crimp, Get of Sire, 15 banners, and 28 first place ribbons. He carries ultra-dense, bright fleece, strong bone, and full coverage that give him a commanding presence. His fleece stats place him among the elite. Blizzard holds a true adjusted density of 90.08 follicles per square millimeter, far above the huacaya average of 58.49. Scans show almost z ...

Details
Dancing Elk’s Mystery Unveiled, aka Dotty, is a beautiful, stunning, statuesque harlequin female. Color and color patterns can be found deep in her genetics, top and bottom.

Dotty’s sire is none other than Red Granite’s Man of Mystery. She is half sibling to our harlequin appaloosas, Conspicuous (aka Spike), Baptiste, and Pinktessa (aka Tessa).

Red Granite’s Man of Mystery is a beautiful representation of a harlequin, and at 127.2 follicles/square mm in density, he is the densest alpaca tested by Ian Watt in the US… and to quote Ian Watt, “Overall, this is the best alpaca I’ve tested in the US.”

Dotty’s dam, Dancing Elk’s Nina is a statuesque, conformationally correct female. She is a Snowmass Tezcatlipoca daughter. Her fleece is dense, with tight bundling, brightness and coverage galore!

Our Thanks go out to Dancing Elk Alpaca’s for allowing this beautiful female to join the Mule Train herd!

We plan on breeding Dotty to the elite powerhouse, Stillmeadow Farm Blizzard for her maiden breeding. This pairing should create a little appaloosa rockstar!
